minicpan

I found out about CPAN::Mini through the great Perl Advent calendar. This module is just what I need, with all the net-less PCs I’m stubborn to run Perl on at work :-)

Yesterday I dowloaded it at home, and created a local CPAN mirror (took almost all night). This morning I haven’t had time to burn it to a CD (should fit in nicely - 380MB), but I did run into a weird problem:

My burner program (Easy CD Creator 5), when creating a file system on the CD, complained that there are paths “too long for the filesystem”, and indeed the CPAN mirror has a deep directory structure. Hope it can be somehow overcome ?!
