Yesterday we went to see "The return of the king", at last.

Amazing, that's the one word I have for this movie. You watch it, and feel as if you're reading the book, with the images in-front of your eyes. The battle for Minas Tirith is unbelieveable, this citadel, wow ! The ride of the Rohirrim is exciting and very real, you can feel what these people feel, you see the fear in the orcs' eyes, the bloodlust of Theoden. Same for the Elephants, Trolls, the battle-rams, everything is so real... probably the best war scene even filmed. The undead are casted perfectly, just as I'd like to imagine them, swift, relentless...

Similarly to the previous movies, I won't get into petty whinging about missing dialogs here, over-hollywooded events there, inaccuracies, etc. The movie as a whole is terrific. I also won't delve into comparisons of the various parts, one to the other. The whole series, the 9.5 hours show is astounding, art in the works... I loved it. I can probably name it as the best movie I saw, ever. I can know, because I'm certain I'll come back to watching it again, and again, and again...
