The learning curve at this job is very steep.
Our card is about to arrive from manufacturing, and we started discussing how we test it. First, a 1.5 hour discussion with the software guy, on the interfaces between the test program and the test FPGA.
Then, thinking how to check various lines on the card using the FPGA. Shortening lines in the connectors... NFETs to these opto-couplers, PFETs to those opto-couplers. Transmitters, receivers, argh! I barely remember how a PFET works. Just too much information in a single day. Its just 3:30 PM and I already feel burned out for today.
I hope I'll be able to eventually cope with all this. The reward will be learning a lot of stuff, which is good.
