Grenouille appeared to me almost like Raskolnikov, but in a naive way, searching for anything that not even he knew, perharps his own self or identity. Unfortunally, some descriptions become boring with many smelling details. But it still is one of my favourites books. I’ve read “Perfume” many years ago and I found it very impressive.
