gojo,

Thanks for the comment - I appreciate any opinion :-)

I understand what you mean by feeling that society is becoming decadent in some ways. I feel the same way about many things. However, in this case I don't think there's too much to it. The idea is to employ blind people and allow them to express themselves, and show a piece of their world. On the other hand, for us, "normal" visitors this is an interesting experience. This sounds like a win-win situation to me, so I see nothing special in it. It is all executed in a very civil and respectful way, unlike many shows that feature "little people", re your example.

Hi Eli,

I think there is a very thin line between civilization becoming mature and becoming decadent. (This is especially true of eastern cultures who had adopted western moral and attitude).

What is the purpose of this restaurant? Is it what is "cool" now? or is it a blind awareness raising process? And if it is the latter, dont you think this trend shouldnt be applied to other awareness needing bodily issues:

Noise Out Restaurant: the deaf and mute experience
Little People Restaurant: the dwarf experience

You can see this can get quickly out of hand. I am not trying to sound as degrading. I have a lot of respect for you. I just wanted to share how I feel about this.

You might also want to check out Dialog in the Dark sometime, it's a similar experience that contains more than a restaurant.
