Google’s new “homepage” personalization

September 18th, 2006 at 5:31 pm

Google has now added a “tabbing” feature to its “homepage personalization”. Add as many tabs as you want, and in them aggregate any news from RSS / Atom feeds of your favorites websites. Akin to a feed-reader, just built in into the browser.

I find it very convenient. Apart from showing my Inbox, stock quotes and calendar, I’ve created a tab where all the tech news I usually look at are grouped (programming.reddit.com, slashdot, Planet Ruby etc.) - so my overall browsing experience is improved as I save time on going over everything each day.
