castaways, jules verne and many books

In the book I’m now reading (Life of Pi - a review is due) the main character is the sole human survivor of a ship wreck. The description of how he uses the limited resources of a life-boat to survive made me nostalgic about one of my most favorite books in youth - Mysterious Island by Jules Verne.

So, I asked around and today someone will bring me a copy of the book to read it again. While I’m at it, I recalled that having read many of Verne’s books, I didn’t read “80 days around the world” - so I printed it from project Gutenberg today.

Additionally, 6 books are on their way from Amazon, and 3 more from a Russian online bookstore. Yay !!
