Yesterday we went to see "Troy".

If I put all the historic inaccuracies and American cheesiness down for a moment, it's a nice movie that was fun to watch.

I was especially impressed with Hector. The actor playing him (Bana) did it perfectly, very real, easily the favorite character in the movie. Brad Pitt as Achiless was not bad, but nothing worth mentioning. Orlando Bloom played the wimpy Paris, not too well, but the role itself sucked, so I'm not sure that any actor would do good.

I really liked the battles. Although not as grandiose as the ones in LOTR, I think they were more realistic. I really enjoyed seeing some battlefield tactics used, I wish movies would take this point seriously.
