I’m teaching myself Spanish now (a long dream, and I finally started a couple of months ago), and I see that learning real human spoken languages is far more difficult than programming languages. Even if you grasp the basics of the syntax, phonetics and the grammar, there’s still so many words to remember…

Reading books helps, but I’m not on that level yet…
